The NHL held its annual Entry Draft on Saturday night in Vancouver, BC. The NHL Entry Draft is the primary means by which players are selected by NHL teams. Incoming freshman TJ Miller of NMU was selected in the 4th Round, Pick 107 by the New Jersey Devils. TJ played last season for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL. In fact TJ was named Defenceman of the Year of the BCHL. He is only 19 and stands at a solid 6′4″ and 200 pounds. There is no doubt that TJ will be an instant contributer to the Wildcat ‘D’ core this upcoming season. He has NHL potential and CCHA stardom written all over.
