It was cetainly another tough grinding win for the cats tonight. A 2-1 W is something to be proud of for those old school hockey folks indeed. A home and home sweep against a strong rival is always a positive for any team, but with NMU this season it means a lot. The Wildcats have the momentum now to keep moving forward for the next big weekend challenge.

Having to deal with the refs and not knowing with the hell they will call is something the normal suck wont even know. Dusty Collins was an example tonight. He made a certifiable check on a Laker on the numbers and was called for checking from behind and was given the 5:00 and game misconduct. Coach Kyle will certainly send the tape to the jug heads of the CCHA and show them this bullshit call.

Lets focus on the game. Bill Zaniboni is a damn stud and I hate to jinx him, but this man has been sick!!! He has let in so few goals the league has to acknowledge this man’s fortitude so far this season. NMU will ride this horse and he will carry on and be another fine stud in the ranks of the tenders of the Cats lore.

Every key momentum is focused on the next week at hand. Now the Cats go on to face Rick and the Spartans. The key here is smart hockey. Not too many dumb penaltys and mistakes. Remember Rick has been Walts bee atch since he has gone to Lansing and lets hope this continues on forward for the next series and further down the road.
